Honestly ..... "The guy that hired the clown" got me reading it. Only because I thought "What the heck? Who hires DJT??"

Nearly eight out of 10 Americans, including 70% of Republicans, fear that Trump’s tariffs will increase the price of everyday goods.

Fear no longer !!! There is a full guaranty on that!

Don't think so. To limited. Most financiers will fuck over anyone and anything for just one dollar more.

Mikrotik.

Pro: it can be made to do everything

Con: you have to make it do it yourself (but it has easy wizards for common configs, so not a big issue)

What (lightweight) solution are you using for network monitoring? Routers, switches, AP's fw's.

Well, DIY is still on the table, but in order to get a better view of the things I (don't) want I took the fathers day deal from potensic. It arrived yesterday and despite the wind being much stronger than advised I took it out on a test flight. I must say, I'm not disapointed at all! The one axis gimbal has the disadvantages they said, but I'm more into photo's than video, and in photo's it's easy to level the horizon. But even un-edited I got some decent picture out of it air photo

So, years ago (2018 or 19 I guess) I bought a Symax X15W to try a drone. Funny thing, but not suitable outdoors. Even when it looks there is no wind, when you go up a bit .... away it goes on the wind. But okay, that was to be expected. So after a year I passed it on to a coworker for his kids to play.

Still it was real fun to take pictures above the tree tops, so buying another drone is still a thought that keeps lingering. My requirements aren't high, i want to be able to fly outdoors without having to worry (too much) about winds. I wanna take pictures/films and a range of 1 Km is surely enough. With that range you quickly think flight time like 30 min?

Is there anything you could recommend without braking the bank? Given the amount I expect to use it I'm thinking of spending up to 200 ( maybe 300 if it's seems worth it to me) Euro.

Hi, Within our district, we have multiple autonomous group with their own activities. We all agree it's nice and okay for group members to join activities in other groups. Consensus about information sharing is tough. All have their own habits and technical (IT) skills are scarce. The idea now is to have one from each group to arrange the communication between the groups, and that one distribute the event's in their group. I think it's a lot of work and causes delay's etc.

My idea now: A self hosted website with an event calendar. It's okay for the world to see. People can just send an invite from their own calendar to it, and if the sender is on a whitelist, it gets accepted and placed/removed/updated (whatever the invite is)

Anyone any idea if something like it exists?

Optional: the events get sent out from the website (using it's own sender id) to subscribed members. And in a perfect world, their responses would end up at the original meeting planner so they have an idea of how many could show up. And I can think of many more nice features (subscribe only to certain groups etc) but there is also an idea to keep it simple.

Ordered silicone cast form, bought a crockpot (worked 10x better than i hoped it would for melting) and starting casting my own wax bases. Pretty satisfied with them. Yes, I know they are not rectangular ....but i did not want the form to overflow or the sheets become too thick. I need to cut them a bit anyway and Like all beekeeper mistakes : the bees will fix it.

I have an patio like the one on the example (not actual photo) of which I want to rebuild the glazed area into an outdoor kitchen for all-year round usage. The "only" requirements are :

  • work area
  • placement of a charcoal grill ( likely to be replaced by a kamado style one)
  • a place for my ooni (wood heated).
  • open in summer
  • shelter from rain/snow (it's Sweden we talk about)
  • some shelter from wind

I thought about building something against the sliding doors so you can stand outside in summer and inside when the weather is bad. But also of making something on wheels.

Internet searches gives many photo's but not much on the last two wishes. Anyone built something for all-year usage in the northern areas? Photo's will be much appreciated!
