I'm with the view that if I own the car, I own all the telemetry the car generates. Feds need to find the solution with that principle in mind.

Ha, funny you say that. I moved from Canada to US because of work. It's been a good experience so far. I dont have family here nor kids. I do sometimes think of moving back when I have kids just because I have family on canada. They can provide lots of emotional support and build relationships that really can't be filled with daycare. Plus, I avoid daycare costs.

This is not the end of reddit. It is just a hiccup for them as they go public. But the protests was a good opportunity for folks to learn about alternatives. I certainly didn't know alternatives existed. I'm glad to have found fediverse. I fully support the idea and want to see it grow.
