Bot owner here. I run the bot. We needed new content daily /half daily for people to view. We have a lot of active users who are probably just doom scrolling and looking at memes. Without the bot posting content we wouldn't have new content for half a week.

I agree with one of your comments regarding quality of content, as it uses the danbooru RSS feed and I tried to select some tags that would allow for good content.

I am happy to remove the bot posting to /c/animepics if the community no longer wants it.

Edit: it shouldn't have been posting every hour... So I've paused posting to anime pics for the time being. You better make some quality content in the meantime

But it is a good point regarding content. I wrote that when I originally created the community, maybe for a point of difference compared to the other communities we be overly cautious with the NSFW tag?

Or maybe we spin up a sfwanime community. Where you are not allowed to post anything suggestive/ecchi and it's gotta be purely sfw. Food for through regardless.
