Why is it apparently cool and fine for insurance companies to spend countless billions, trillions of our money constantly buying ad time? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Windows 10. I was happy with Windows 7, got prompted to 'upgrade' to Windows 10... I declined. Next morning, my PC had Windows 10 installed. I got this crazy idea that my PC belonged to me and that I would be the one to decide what OS to use. Hello Linux Mint.

I don't mind paying for YouTube content. I do mind their data harvesting, however. Figured out that my life isn't diminished at all without Youtube.
