Wow, this looks ideed very beautiful. But aren't people running across the tracks back and forth are therby destroying the greenery?

I'm not a scientist, so I'm just guessing here. But looking at popular search terms on porn sites, you'll find a lot of taboo stuff like (step-)mom, (step-)sis, poop, BDSM, gang bangs etc. But just because people find it interesting in porn, I wouldn't argue that they necessarily want to act accordingly in real life, bang their relatives etc.

Some time back I also read an article somewhere (sorry no source) that taboos in porn can get somehow addictive in a way that you're permanently looking for harder taboos.

But as said, I have no clue if that applies here or if there's scientific evidence for/against this hypothesis.

Maybe they can pull back their head into the shell before opening the floodgates.

I could also imagine that the causality is (partly) the other way around. Demonizing homosexuality makes it a taboo for them and taboos are the base for all kinds of fetishes.

The study suggests that the U.S. economy is on track to lose $12.5 billion in international spending this year alone – but the actual shortfall might be much greater.

Tourism Economics, a division of Oxford Economics, had originally forecast a nine percent increase in foreign travel earlier this year before revising its estimate to reflect “polarizing Trump Administration policies and rhetoric.”

Based on the research firm’s original projections, the U.S. economy was expected to gain $16.3 billion in revenue, according to an analysis by Forbes. Instead, the total deficit may be as high as $28.8 billion.

Yes they did. They expected gains of 16.3 billion, but instead experienced a drop of 12.5 billion. Resulting in hypothetical losses of 28.8 billion.

A girl I know always wanted to be a boy when she was a child. She even explicitly asked to have her gender changed through surgery in elementary school.

Nowadays she says, that her main reasons were that she preferred to do 'boys stuff' like soccer with boys rather than playing with dolls etc. with other girls. Plus she was really scared of the pain of giving birth as a women and thought she'd have to go through that when growing up. Up to this day, she still likes 'boys stuff', doesn't use make up, rarely wears dresses/skirts, didn't give birth.

So in her case specifically, it seems like it was 'just' the stupid female stereotype that she didn't want to live up to. She doesn't feel that gender disphoria anymore.

I guess independent of the gender we associate with, we as society should really object all these stupid stereotypes. Do what you like, dress as you like and be who you like, no matter the genitals you were born with. And let children know that they are free to choose their own path.
