McDonald's Canada is a separate entity, so despite still being a shitty company it's a shitty Canadian company

I don't agree with the fines but it's also a little more complicated than that, apparently the plants were starting to over grow the sidewalk. Naturalized gardens are fine but there needs to be some effort put in to not obstruct public infrastructure.

I do agree the bylaw needs to be changed though. How is one supposed to grow a natural garden while also removing specific plants designated as weeds? They're part of nature...

Generally though, this is just some Burlington shit. Karens all the way down.

There was a really interesting video (can't remember the title) that went into Google's captcha specifically, and found that it really isn't designed to detect bots. It's designed to detect a unique digital fingerprint that can be used by advertisers.

So, you can use a really simple mouse script to click the checkbox automatically with no issue, but as soon as you use a VPN you get served with the photo games. It doesn't care if you're a robot, it cares if you're a valuable ad target.

He literally had the wrong floor. Complete coincidence that his random act of violence happened to kill someone doing something evil, no one should be praising this guy.

It's genuinely impossible to tell these days. Nothing is off limits for clout-chasers, so the false assault allegations could just be part of the attention scheme

This is Kanye-level rage baiting

Ignore them, they only do this because it gets them attention

Are one or both of your families wealthy?

It really isn't

Usb C is far more resilient than the micro B connectors it replaced. What are you doing to your type C ports that makes them wear out? Could just be dust stuck in there, easy to scrape out with a toothpick

This has got to be the widest desire path I've ever seen, but I'm excited to know if anyone has seen bigger. To my knowledge it's been here for at least 15 years.

Lemmings of Canada,

I just found out about the fediverse canvas event.

I have to assume that a Canadian flag with a horribly mangled maple leaf will show up somewhere, but I'm not sure if anyone has decided on a spot yet. ~~There's a large red box growing on the right side of the canvas that we could try to take over but that might be a little ambitious.~~

Just realized that red box is for us! Let's go Canada, I believe in our ability to draw a maple leaf.
