He looms like he should've been part of the Anchorman cast

Oh I could see that it's much more prestigious, but I added it for the set up for the invisible hand bit lol

In my experience Haaretz is like, center-right at the least in its news coverage so I'm kinda surprised by that. Tho the other comment about the IOF helicopter coverage making them froth at the mouth is probably accurate

I found this article about Milei yesterday to learn a bit about him and it's absolute unhinged. I read this part and I lost my shit, cackling at work:

But he quit football at 18 to study economics, going on to lecture at university, then working as an economist at various financial institutions.

In his free time he sang in a band, Everest, which played Rolling Stones songs — and he looked the part. Advertisement

Milei claims he hasn’t combed his hair since he was 13, adding: "From that moment on, the invisible hand combs my hair.”

I was literally just thinking about why holidays can be so difficult to let go of for people and I think I vamento a similar conclusion. White Americans are so isolated from one another, and in a lot of ways I think things like Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only way we can normalize communalism because it's not regularly practiced in our lives. The holidays, for the most part, made me feel like I had a family bc I came from a real dysfunctional background. So it's kinda precious for me. Sucks that even if people try to divest the meaning from it its still considered problematic. But I guess what would be more important is for us to try and create communalism as an ongoing practice in our lives with friends and family and whatever instead of relying on these days, I suppose.

Sames, it was subtle but I didn't think it was meant to be this pro war sob story where you empathize with Oppenheimer. To me I ended up feeling like "well, now you have to live with this guilt for the rest of your life dude. Sucks to be you" lol

Lmao yeah, sounds about right. I guess it's better.than nothing though? Hopefully a bunch of people from your work take advantage!

Ah damn, I made a donation and tried to do that but I don't think that my work matches then. I wasn't sure if it was the kinda thing where you could try to make them do it lol

Panty liners is honestly a brilliant idea! I used to go sans underpants but uh, tight jeans is not the jam for that. I think having multiple pairs of pants you rotate through+panty liners would be the best bet.

I used to go to a taqueria that would make me ones to go. I think the dad who owned it saw once and chastised his kids for selling them to me. But he let me have one last miche for the road lol. Absolute best summer beverage
