you're joking, but there are people like Peter Thiel who throw money into transhumanist nonsense specifically because he thinks he'll live forever thanks to that. cryonics, buckets of supplements, "enhanced games" as a non-FDA testing ground for immortality elixir for new emperor, and a couple of other things that i don't remember right now, all because he's so scared of dying
they also tend to learn language and integrate more easily, because, you know, they aren't far right lunatics
