£18m cocaine seizure

Even taking their inevitable overestimate at face value, on a £4 billion annual market they've managed to seize 0.325%. This will have absolutely no effect whatsoever on the street. They've achieved nothing. They've just managed to waste shit loads of time and money. Prohibition doesn't work.

Isn't the clarification of what they meant, also the exact same thing as what they originally said?

No.

They clarified what they meant by what they said, not by the context that you think they didn't provide in the original text

I don't understand that sentence.

Why did you say "If you have to ask someone else whether you should switch then you should not switch."? Because the only reason I can find, is if you misunderstood and thought they were asking if they should switch to Linux in a general sense, rather then specifically based on their specs for gaming.

Such a question hints at a lack of curiosity and wherewithal, engendering an expectation that it would be problematic for the asker to switch, both in general and based on hardware specs.

I know what /s means but I'm very confused what you're trying to say.

I was indicating that I was being sarcastic in order to make a point.

On Twitter and Instagram you follow users.

I don't know because I've never used them but can't you follow hash tags?

Please explain to me what part of the two-word sentence "I disagree" is not you disagreeing.

No no, that's what I said, that's not what I meant. You misunderstood.

/s to make a point

OP clarified to you what they meant, and you disagreed with them

I disagreed with their assertion that the main text "kinda does", I didn't disagree with their clarification of what they meant. You can tell because I quoted precisely what I was disagreeing with.

content-first social media like forums

user-first like Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Uhh...

user-first

Wut?

not only is there the OG post as proof, but they also told you (in implication) that you misunderstood

I did not tell OP that I disagreed with them, you misunderstood.

/s to make a point

OP knows what they meant by what they said - you can't tell them they don't know what they meant

I haven't commented on what they meant, only on what they said.

I get it that you're having a hard time understanding how what they said, means what they said it does, but you're allowed to accept that you misunderstood.

LOL

Who the frell can't get into Farscape?!

[–] rah@hilariouschaos.com 1 points 1 week ago

The main text kinda does

I disagree.

[–] rah@hilariouschaos.com 2 points 1 week ago (6 children)

They're asking based on their specs whether Linux will run fine for them.

The post does not ask that.

[–] rah@hilariouschaos.com 1 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Your post doesn't ask that.

[–] rah@hilariouschaos.com 2 points 1 week ago

If you have to ask someone else whether you should switch then you should not switch.
