This isn't a permanent solution.
Youtube advertising is absolute trash. It's already bad enough to sit through ads when you don't even know if you want to watch the video. Their ads consist of fake Joe Rogans with tts voices advertising scams.
People could start configuring their sites to ban Google Chrome. Give a scary message that says something like "Google Chrome is not allowed on this site for your protection. Google Chrome has severe vulnerabilities that allow for easy infection. An autistic teenager was falsely convicted of selling CP after being infected and now must register for life."
People would switch away from Google Chrome incredibly fast if website owners started posting that.
They're going to burn their own browser. If they stop allowing adblockers, a lot of people are just going to change browsers.
Find people to talk to about it and try to figure out if the problem is really you or if it's them and they're trying to put you down for it.
Getting really defensive will make people feel like they're right.
People still wake up in surgery because of this. Considering the cavalier attitude that a lot of people have toward the evil of weed, I have limited sympathy. I wonder if it's a feature and not a bug.
There are people who wake up during surgery because of this.
What kind of drug is this? Drunkenness is also bad. Getting drunk can be fun in social situations, but it's important to be able to have fun while still being sober. Using weed is bad in general but using it as a coping mechanism or self-prescription for autism is incredibly dangerous. It's a huge red flag. I have lived with autistic people who used weed for self medication and they thought it was a treatment. In reality they were using weed for the same reasons everyone else uses drugs. Weed doesn't fix your problems, it only numbs your feelings and eventually the cause is going to catch up to you after it's not addressed. Eventually the user will grow older and realize they're a purposeless loser with nothing accomplished,
Exercise is much more effective at dealing with depression then any drug.
I can easily imagine autistic people having less of a sense of identity. Being transgender is more common but also it could be a trauma response. My trans autistic sister has trauma from the "devouring mother" type of care that she got from special education while in school. Being trans complicates things, but she never had an identity before she transitioned.
They can't sue millions of people.
It could also be made very hard for them to win. All someone has to do is make a site making that claim and their ability to win will be gone. Any defendant can claim they read that site.
