I think asymmetry is really beautiful!

In your experience, what are the dominant beauty ideals where you live, and how do they affect people’s self‑esteem, identity, or mental well‑being? Do you feel these standards create pressure, motivation, comparison, or something else entirely within your community? And are you noticing any shifts in how people think about beauty—especially with social media, globalization, or changing cultural values? If you’re comfortable, I’d love to hear personal experiences or observations about how beauty norms influence the psychology of individuals or society around you.

How would you describe the current beauty standards in Korea, and in what ways do you feel they influence everyday life or people’s self‑image? Do you think these standards are changing with younger generations or social media trends? If you’re comfortable, I’d love to hear any personal experiences or observations you’ve noticed in your community.

Like anything that makes you smile during these dark times.

Just a thought. I feel people sweep a lot under the rug if the majority finds you beautiful/handsome.

I'm learning Korean, Russian, and Mandarin right now! It's a bit difficult at times, but I really enjoy them.

I've always been a huge Phantom of the Opera fan <3
