Ah, makes sense. Guess it just depends on what you're familiar with. I'd interpret "Alpine Meadow" as either a meadow in the Alps, or as a meadow that looks like a meadow in the Alps lol

I'm out of the loop, is the word Alpine used to refer to anything that isn't the Alps?

I want the damn feathers for the social aspect! If we were allowed to preen each other, the world would be a better place!

Uff, genau andersrum. Hab nie aufgehört wie ein Student zu leben und zu depressiv für große Ausgaben :(

Like anyone else, I'd say buy stock/bitcoin, but the overlap of me being old enough to have my own bank account and the time where stocks/bitcoin was worth it is fairly slim. Maybe I'd go back to like 2019/2020 and pump all my money into Gamestop.

Why not both?

It's so scary to see as well, because they look like some sort of neurological issue or seizure 😭

But apparently it's 100% normal and nothing to worry about. Those care guides just never tell you about it!!

Idk how to feel about this. She's done it before to get a rat that was too big for the door into her house. But it's literally 4pm! Girl you should be sleeping!!

Revy's back wall plants are magnetized so that she can't climb up and mess with her Radiant Heat Panel or the UVB bulb. It took her about a month to get used to that. In the beginning, I'd always wake up to every single plant being torn off.

But by now, she's got it down to a science. She never pulls at the ends of the plant and knows exactly that the base right next to the wall is the most stable part. Sometimes I catch her resting her head on top of the base, cause she knows that it won't fall off with that little weight on it. Smart baby 💞

Revy was in there actively exploring for like two hours. The idea was that she'd go back into her humidity box once she's had enough/wanted to hide in a familiar place, but that never happened. So I picked her up and put her on her "you can go back home" perch in front of her enclosure. She refused and started exploring in the opposite direction lol

So she got to go back to the Play Tent and after cruising around for a few more rounds, she finally settled into a paper towel tube. I would have left her to hang out for as long as she wanted, but had other obligations to attend to and didn't want to leave her unsupervised. So she had to go back cannelloni style 🥲

She's been in blue for 2-3 days, so it shouldn't be too long now! The image is from her day 1 of being in blue, she was cruising around like crazy to scout out a cozy spot. She's settled (and immediately pooped) in her warm hide, and stayed in there since.

I was actually a bit worried about an RI before the blue, because she started whistling!! But apparently that's more or less normal for Black Pastels because their noses are weird :')

Maybe it's an instance thing, maybe it's a Boost thing, but when I search for communities with the simple term "fitness" for example, I only get 5 results that have like, 30 members max.

I'm totally down with organically growing my community list over time just based on links and recommendations, but it is a bit annoying to not find communities when I'm pretty sure that they should exist.

Does anyone have tips on how to find things better?

nevermind

I really like Audiobookbay for discovering new books, but if I'm searching for something specific it is a bit annoying to navigate with their sometimes broken search and the vague categorization. Seeding is also sometimes sparse, especially with older uploads..

Does anyone know good alternatives? There doesn't seem to be an audiobook category in the megathread (yet) ;)
