The hell is that title supposed to mean? Nauseous Leaf?

[โ€“] python@programming.dev 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

they meant gender, I think ๐Ÿค”

The main part was back loop single crochet, though I think in hindsight back loop hdc might have looked better !

The slip stitches for the cuffs are pretty bearable as long as you keep them super loose.

And thanks! ^^ I've only been crocheting for like 2 or 3 months, the improvisation is just because I'm very adamant in taking the beginner privilege of fucking around to learn haha

Haha thanks! I'm definitely keeping an open mind to extending the sweater if I ever come across the right yarn again haha

Thanks!! I'm not good with instructions, so the whole thing was just kinda winged haha. I've jotted down a quick sketch of what I remember for you though, hope it's clear enough!

Royals aren't exactly the most trainable snakes and Revy still isn't super comfy with moving very far, but she's great at orienting towards the target and did really well today ๐Ÿฅฐ I'm very proud of her!

If you wanna know more about Target Training, check out Lori Torrini on Youtube! She's pioneering the whole concept, and really really knowledgeable about snake behavior and cooperative care ๐Ÿ’•

I'm so confused, is this a new thing?? I was looking for German People's experiences with Narcolepsy and Google suggested a Reddit thread about athletes with Narcolepsy. It was in German, so I just assumed it was a German author, but it quickly became weird when the author said "you" instead of "y'all" and mentioned upping his running miles every week.

I checked at the top any yep, there was a little "See Original" button that translated the post to English.

Am I alone in thinking that this is kinda weird and icky? Like this are people speaking about their personal experiences, just pulling their words through automatic translation can kill so much meaning and context. Not even to mention that it makes the search engine result useless for me, as I was specifically looking for German posts :/

There's been a noticeable change in her face shape in the past few weeks! She's around 440g and almost a year old now, so she's almost a subadult.

In comparison, here's what her face looked like just a few weeks ago:

The weird creature that steals her poop has now stolen part of her door (she was struggling to fit through it after her last meal)

The audacity!

I've been messing around with my Pizza Dough recipe for the past 3 days ๐Ÿฑ

The goal was to scale the recipe to two portions (โˆ…25cm) that taste best after around 16-24h resting time. I like my dough fairly thin, but more chewy than crispy. I also go heavy on the toppings, so it should have enough structure to hold them up by itself after the first two bites or so. Most Pizzas here are topped with 250-ish grams of chicken, pickles, pickled red onion, bbq sauce and whatever canned corn-mix I had on hand.

The first Pizza had way too much dough, and I had it in an initially cold pan on a pizza stone. It stayed very soggy in the middle ๐Ÿ˜• I also only put oil in the pan, no flour. So it got super stuck.

image: Pizza 2

The second one was light years ahead, way thinner dough and I blasted the pan on my induction stove until it sizzled before putting it in the oven without a pizza stone. The bottom turned out exactly how I like it!!

It still got a little stuck in the pan, as I used oil and too little semolina flour.

Pizza 3 was the best one! I went very heavy when coating the pan in regular flour (instead of semolina, i dont like the texture) and pulled up the crust on all sides so that it wouldn't stick so much. It didn't, and I kinda like the look! This one I also blasted on the stove beforehand and put in the oven with no Pizza stone.

The (current) dough recipe:

  • 150g Pizza flour
  • 150g water
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp dry yeast
  • 6g salt
  • 3 tsp vital wheat gluten (sold as Seitan base)

-> mix everything to a very watery crepe-dough consistency and let sit for 20-30 mins

-> add 100g more flour and knead to a Pizza dough

-> let rest for at least 12h, but 16-24h is even better

-> bake it as hot as your oven will allow, mine has a Pizza setting that does 250ยฐC

I'll probably tweak it even more when I get into the mood for half a week of Pizza again ๐Ÿฑ I'm thinking that I should be able to get the exact same result from using regular 403 flour but with 4 instead of 3 tsp of the vital wheat gluten. But I might have to scale up the water as well in that case, hmm

They're this weird yellowish-blue and I think that's pretty neat

Revy's going into blue ๐Ÿฑ

She's really needing it too, her last shed was at around 240g bodyweight, now she's well above 330g and was starting to get some pretty visible scale spread.

wrinkly baby

Revy decided to dig on exactly the right spot, pulled on the cord to her temperature sensor and displaced it tonight. Now her terrarium is sitting at an uncomfortable 31.5ยฐC ambient temperature on the hot side. The cold side is still okay at like 28ยฐC, but it's slowly creeping up.

Wouldn't be a problem, if I wasn't 650km away on vacation. Or if I hadn't specifically decided against leaving a key to my apartment with a friend or neighbor because I didn't want to bother them. Completely my fault lol

Anyways, the flight back home is 100โ‚ฌ and the 10 hour bus drive back to my vacation spot is 50โ‚ฌ. I wouldn't have bothered to go back, but this was literally the first night of the trip and I have 5 more days planned. I was visiting my fiance who I haven't seen in 2 months because he had to move across the country for work ๐Ÿฅฒ

update: the baby has been rescued! She seems perfectly fine and unbothered, although a bit warm to the touch.

update2: Man, she sure is out to worry me. I took her out to cool down while I adjust and recalibrate the sensor. When I let her back in, she crawled straight to her basking spot (32-35ยฐC surface day temp, 28ยฐC surface night temp) and stayed there until like 3am. Wth does that even mean??

It's so scary to see as well, because they look like some sort of neurological issue or seizure ๐Ÿ˜ญ

But apparently it's 100% normal and nothing to worry about. Those care guides just never tell you about it!!
