Was he actually Italian though? As in, speaking Italian, having an Italian passport etc.? Y'all Americans have weird definitions of nationality, just having a foreign sounding last name isn't really enough...

Still wearing boots, like regular animals do

nah, rolled ankles happen when there's little support around the ankle and when you walk with sidewards momentum. Boots stabilize the ankle really well and at that height, you basically walking on stilts rather than heels (plus the sole is rounded to guide your momentum forwards). It's surprisingly comfortable, as long as you don't stand still for too long.

Hi! Randomly came across this in New, very cool guide! Hope you don't mind if I chime in as an AFAB, if you do I'll delete the comment, no worries ^^

There is a guide for gender-affirming weightlifting on hexbear that I really like - Link. I based my training mostly on that back when I lifted for like 6 months and the butt gains were really decent! I even slightly over-developed my Gluteus Medius because I like the Hip Abductor machine too much u_u
I found the Upper/Lower split made a lot of sense in general, as I could skip Upper whenever I needed to skip a session due to time constraints.

In terms of clothing, there's nothing I can praise more than a specific brand of Aliexpress butt-leggings called "NVGTN". For some reason, they're just really really good at pushing everything where it belongs lol. I usually wear them under jeans in winter or by themselves in summer

  1. Quickly try to guess whether alcohol is okay in this person's culture and whether they would have reasonably gotten drunk.

  2. Pretend to be hung over for as long as possible to stall for time.

  3. ???

  4. Find out their banking details (or call in their banker) and transfer all their money to a good cause.

Just curious, does a community like that exist here on lemmy? I do have some questions that aren't answered by the vegan bingo and would love to ask someone, but going straight to !vegan@lemmy.ml feels kinda intrusive

I love TickTick, but this post seems really off

My parents regularly did go through my things when I was living with them, and I did get in trouble for the most random things they found. Not a great feeling, but at least they don't have a spare key for my current apartment.

That link is a really cool resource, thanks!

Anyone remember the time when "big data" was supposed to be the next big thing?

It's been getting colder around here, so I'm not super comfortable with letting Revy roam around on the cold floor anymore. Instead, I let her hang out on my plant shelf yesterday while spot-cleaning. Because of the grow-lights, the floors of the shelves get up to 40°C in the center - which is very much on the upper end of acceptable basking surface temps, but I'm okay with allowing it for 10-20mins.

And man does she seem into it! She curled up in a cozy spot after exploring the shelf, and when I put her on her perch to go back into her enclosure, she instead scooted right back to the plant shelf instead. I had to actually put her back straight into her enclosure after that, which I don't enjoy doing because it does take away agency, but I had places to be and couldn't leave her on the shelf unsupervised 🥲

In the evening, she was very adamant about being let out, and when I did she crawled right back to the plant shelf and from there to the floor. I kept putting her on her "go back home" perch and she kept insisting on going to the shelf instead, so again I had to put her back straight into the enclosure when I needed to head to sleep.. Revy spent the rest of the night sulking in front of the door lol

It's pretty good so far! A bit fiddly to get something like my go-to brushes from the PC version set up, but overall the port is very faithful to the original :D

because they don't have a state issued photographic ID, which you need to book airplane seats.

I've been great at killing every plant I own within a few months. So guess my surprise when the golden Pothos I bought in March actually survived long enough to be propped and repotted!!!

I also bought a small (but very overgrown) Marble Queen Pothos a few weeks ago that has been doing okay! Not much growth, but also not dying yet! whoop whoop!

...aaand I may or may not have impulse bought a Large Form Monstera Deliciosa Cutting yesterday. Let's see how that goes lol

Heyhey!

Also wäre ich tendenziell bereit, andere Marken auszuprobieren.

Must have:

  • Android ohne viel extra vorinstallierten Kram (also wäre Samsung schonmal komplett raus)
  • SD-Karten Slot

Nice to have:

Also irgendwas Gorillaglas ?
  • Akkuleistung für so 2-3 Tage

Komplett Egal:

In 1809, the Czech invented mathematics. But they kept the secret to themselves, making all other countries dependent on them for calculations.

Which is why all businesses needed to have a Czech person on hand to process payments. Which is why we say "I'd like the Czech please" in Restaurants and "I'd like to Czech out" in hotels to this day.

Royals aren't exactly the most trainable snakes and Revy still isn't super comfy with moving very far, but she's great at orienting towards the target and did really well today 🥰 I'm very proud of her!
