i got my tubes tied and the option of adopting played a huge role. I cannot stand the idea of pregnancy, thats why I wanted my own tubes tied, rather than my partner having a vasectomy, that way I am in control. But I don't hate kids, and I'm not entirely against the idea of adopting a kid down the road. Especially one thats a little older, I'm also not too fond of babies lmao

i just got my tubes tied at 23. I think I felt so strongly about it because pregnancy would be destroying my own body. You don't really have to worry too much about that, but I still understand wanting to make the decision young. IVF would be an option for me if I were to change my mind. Maybe get some frozen just in case? Adoption is also a wonderful option! Best wishes

i dont want it 🧚‍♀️✨

but these changes are small in the whole of it. we live a fossil fuel reliant lifestyle. what would you be willing to give up? cars as a whole? electronics as a whole? indoor climate control? constant hot water? heavy meat consumption? global travel? people care, but the human demand for all of these is heavy and hard to shake. sooner or later they may not be an option anymore

the alt-right podcast swing in the younger generation is really concerning to me. gen z used to pride themself on their political activism and progressive beliefs but I went to the No Kings protest in my purple county and there were so so few young people to the point where someone saw us and said "finally some young people!" Most people there were decades older than us. My generation has disappointed me these past few years.

yeah honestly i rarely get it from "natural" sources, a lot of foods are fortified with it and most multivits have them. i dont worry about it though - our modern ag system is sterile in a way that makes it more scarce. most livestock need it supplemented

maybe you can use this as an opportunity to fill the loneliness with some human interaction so you arent tempted to turn back

applied internally to a role thatd be a nice pay pump. its a data role with a strong emphasis on python and sql skills. i studied my ass off on data concepts anticipating questions like "how would you start solving xyz problem" or "how would you find business insights on zyx" and the first question is "whats the difference between a dict and a list in python?" or hell, even a leetcode-like question. i like to think im decent at USING python and sql, but not having used them in a current role in ~2 years, these google-search-esque questions threw me off guard. i fumbled making up answers for a few but some i straight up had to say i have no fkn clue. so todays been a bit of a demeaning experience! has anyone else ever had an interview where they asked questions like that?

edit: thanks to yall for being supportive, this is the kindest comment section ive had. im still recovering from the embarrassment of these guys thinking I probably lied about having these skills lol. part of my difficulty is that ive been on a rotation program at work and have spent almost the last year on a cyber analyst position and it didnt hit me how much I forgot to code! so now I'm applying to some cyber roles too, wish me luck!!

I am pretty against having a kid of my own for many reasons (scared of pregnancies, scared of babies, awful genepool, etc.) but I do like kids, and am not against adopting a kid. It's just rare to see many parents with adopted kids, so I'm always curious about the process. I'm getting a tubal in a few months, so I guess I'm just asking all my questions early lol

shows up randomly and intensely sometimes and can last for a few days. i suspect its hormonal but who could possibly say. im losing my mind

I'm 23 and literally haven't done any real theater. Used to be in ensembles during summer camp bc i didn't gaf at the time but im considering it as an adult now. there are two auditions in my town next week for different groups and I think I wanna try but I'm super nervous. I need to prepare a monologue for one of them?

Beginning in at least the 1960s, the United Kingdom gained a reputation worldwide for football hooliganism; the phenomenon was often dubbed the British or English Disease.

However, since the 1980s and well into the 1990s, the UK government has led a widescale crackdown on football related violence. While football hooliganism has been a growing concern in some continental European countries in recent years, British football fans now tend to have a better reputation abroad. Although reports of British football hooliganism still surface, the instances now tend to occur at pre-arranged locations rather than at the matches themselves.

It's about a rock star who returns to his small Michigan hometown and bumps into his childhood best friend that he had a rough falling out with.

It's got me giggling and kicking my feet like no tomorrow! 😭 Being from Michigan myself helps make it touching and the art style is so endearing. Would recommend to all my fellow romance fans.
