One in that list has 5 or so members and attracts about -20 votes on every post and comment. It's unpleasant to visit a community where every post and comment is at -15, even if they're "imaginary points" it makes the community hard to sort

Since Jet started enforcing the "no mass down voting" rule automatically things sit at 0 to +5.

My take is someone writing this sort of automation is sick of spending hours each day doing the bans manually

What sort of false positive are you worried about when it only bans people whose only interaction has been negative? Regulars have upvoted stuff if they like the community.

Do you ever visit a community and down vote the first thing you see and intend to return?

This was a most interesting episode, with a doctor talking to a doctor and presenting it all so credibly

I reckon dairy hormones are fat promoting. I couldn't lose weight on very low carb, getting a lot of my fat from cream

I really don't like targets. I reckon you're getting enough protein. Try lean steak if you think you could use more - as in put more on your plate at meals

I trust my body to tell me if I'm not getting enough for what I'm trying to do

Thanks for the temperature advice. I'm running the rest of the silverside meat at 40°C (Google translates your 110 to115°F range to 37.7° to 46°C)

The hunger of a high carb diet is crazy strong. You feel like you are starving

But on this diet it just works. Your body turns up the hunger signal when you miss a couple of meals. You get an unmistakable signal when you've had enough fat, had enough protein.

As far as I can tell the only signal on high carb is a full stomach. I feel like the only satisfying standard diet meals are the meat heavy ones like Christmas dinner

I think we get a daily insulin spike regardless because our blood sugar goes up around dawn each day and isn't taken up by the fat adapted body, so there must be an insulin reaction to bring the blood sugar back to normal

I'm really glad to see more papers coming out regarding people on ASF diets

In the area where I live I don't get food when out with friends or workmates, I'll eat at home, or have eaten at home

Now I eat pemmican I think my travel food is also sorted :)

In the past I have bought steak wherever and cooked it, sometimes where I was staying, sometimes at a barbeque in a nearby park

That links me to a rectangular one like the "biltong box" I bought, not the round one in your picture

I reckon I'm less affected now by stuff that would upset me in the past
