All plastics have the plastic type code embossed on them

I feel my daughter who was a baby in the early 2000s got some plasticisers in her drink bottles before those problem chemicals became widely known, but she was better off than my generation who got worse chemicals because less was known

In my Australian town of half a million people (Canberra) our public transport is practically all buses, the same buses do the school services. We're pretty car based but still I have 3 commercial places within 20 minutes of walking, covering medical, groceries, two butchers, hairdressers, a few independent restaurants, a few chain takeaways. Our nearest pub closed years ago, taxes on alcohol got too high for people to meet a few times a week at a pub

Crowd sourced moderation squashes small voices, squashes unpopular voices. It's not a good solution

I think it's as much of a fix as is possible. If your problem is the owner or admin of the server your best solution is to leave. On reddit that meant leaving reddit. On lemmy it means you have to find another instance

I know I don't have a strong desire for liver, is there in my freezer and I see it often but I don't want it.

Vitamin A overdose - I think that's a problem for the people who are eating a lot of liver, forcing themselves to eat it, hiding it in other foods

I think you're okay if you're only eating liver while you want it and it tastes good

Someone in the video comments talks about their liver intake: high when they first started and it tasted great, then after a while it tastes bad

I think we can continue trusting our taste while eating animal source foods

Eggs are another one, I saw your comment in the price of eggs post - you eat a lot while you're new onto carnivore and low on many nutrients, then it tails off and you move closer to just beef

It looks mostly synchronised now, some comments are missing but I think all the posts are present, well 49 of the ~55 are visible

Tap water doesn't exactly have loads of electrolytes. I think though the normal advice is to give small children boiled water to protect them from water borne illnesses

It's probably more important in places with less safe water

I don't think you have ever bought a sippy cup. Cheap plastics don't come with any paper except maybe a tag or sticker with a bar code

Yeah, most of those guys look like they have a lot of visceral fat (they don't have waists). Only the two on the right look healthy

Murdoch was Australian, he chose to be American

My Australian town of half a million people is about as car based as a US town. We have park and ride carparks in each group of suburbs, on the main bus routes, so you can drive about 5 minutes, park for free, and catch a bus the rest of the way

It saves about $15 a day in parking, and the bus costs about $6 a day

The alternative using just public transport uses a suburban bus to get to the main bus routes (which run each 5 or 10 minutes), but the suburban buses only run hourly, or half hourly during peak times, and add about half an hour each way to the trip
