This is not true. There are plenty people who snore but who do not have any negative effects from it, e.g. sleep apnea.

It's super average for an 8th grader (or anyone) to snore. An 8th grader may take it the wrong way, but it's useful information to have, because snoring can be totally innocuous or it could be totally disrupting their sleep. Someone who snores would do well to see a sleep doc and do a sleep study.

I come from a family of tall, thin people and every single one of us has had sleep apnea since childhood. None of us started treatment until we were adults

How do you know it was under one minute if you weren't there? I can't help but think you feel guilty about being late and are externalizing that by trying to point out things other people did wrong. If I'm sitting behind a stopped bus for over a minute with no activity on or off, you can guarantee I will carefully proceed at some point soon.

The Republican narrative in Texas is that Austin is a crime-ridden hellhole, when in reality it's the safest large city in Texas and safer than many much smaller, deep red cities like Beaumont, San Angelo, Abilene, and Bryan/College Station. This is based on the violent crime rate

I fully expect this to be a media spectacle rather than a cohesive policy. Do you think they're going to be raiding farms in Florida and Texas too?

Your brain is so corrupted by politics that you've completely lost sight of the actual people who are the targets of these pardons and only seem to care about how it helps or hurts politicians

For whom is this irrelevant?

Please don't blame the politicians who are trying to protect us from big business over big business that doesn't care whether they poison us as long as they make money.

There isn't an effective mechanism to determine how carcinogenic or teratogenic every application of every substance is. There's simply way too much variability. Knowing that a product contains chemicals from California's list (roughly 900 I believe) of chemicals known to cause cancer or birth defects gives you the information you need to make decisions about how you use it. If something has this label, don't let your baby put it in its mouth, for example, or don't sand it down and breath in its dust, or wash your hands after you use it before you eat.

This warning is fantastic and is not supposed to give you all the information. It only tells you that one or more known dangerous chemicals are present in a product, which is still invaluable information.

A 216% increase sounds impressive, but probably isn't because the starting number is very small.
