I live in Texas, and it's hard to overstate how much of our produce is imported from Mexico. This would be an almost immediate 25% price hike on food that basically can't be grown at scale here because we don't have Mexico's climate. Surely he'd exempt food from whatever he's about to do. Right...?

Aren't their trade relations with the rest of the world outside the US just fine?

Yes, based on what I've read the communication with the tower was all timely and accurate, it sounds like the pilot of the helicopter made an error

I love to have a great time, chilling with friends, video games with my son, grilling, watching college football. But I also hate commercials. I usually mute the TV when they come on and don't think I could even recognize any

Laos and Vietnam, like China, could also more accurately be described as having "state capitalist" economic systems

cutting taxes for the wealthy could risk damaging the populist image that Trump has cultivated.

It's never seemed to damage his image with his supporters before. He could hold them down and shit into their mouths and they'd find a reason to think it was an ok thing to do

Yes, but this article is about the US specifically. There's also a global right-wing propaganda machine contributing to this problem

I think the point is that unbridled capitalism is creating increasing wealth inequality that many straight, white men are feeling but aren't accurately attributing to their being on the losing end of wealth inequality. This could be ameliorated with any number of policies in a capitalist system, such as a more progressive tax code, better labor protections, or universal healthcare, but the US employs none of these, and straight, white men are largely blaming women, immigrants, and LGBTQ people instead of the class of people keeping them poor.
