When I cook onions, I typically start with that and continually add things to it, including the wilted mushrooms. Cooking mushrooms in a dry pan doesn't really leave any water, it all boils off and I wipe out any remainder prior to the onions

If you make cocaine legal, you reduce overdose deaths significantly. Most OD deaths involving cocaine are due to dosing uncertainty and adulteration with other substances like fentanyl. Legalization would also decrease barriers to treatment and less criminal justice involvement would improve treatment outcomes

Meanwhile, severe cocaine withdrawal makes you tired and irritable while severe alcohol withdrawal makes you have seizures and die. Most people who use cocaine never develop an addiction, just like most people who drink never develop alcoholism. As far as addiction potential, methamphetamines, opiates, and nicotine are the worst offenders, as is the crack formulation of cocaine, which is not what's being discussed here

I almost always cook mushrooms in a dry pan first to get them to release their water, then set them aside to add to the dish at a later point. So I disagree

Y'all recognize headlines like this are coming at a rapid pace on purpose, right? Trump says or does an outrageous thing that dominates the news cycle for a few days, he walks it back, and the media pays little attention to the actual things his administration is doing that are not being walked back. "Flood the zone" is a purposeful strategy.

Who did they threaten?

I didn't say that at all. The entire system is awful and the Democratic leadership is awful. At the same time, the DNC counted every vote and there was a democratic primary in 2024.

The DNC did count primary votes. What evidence is there to the contrary? Are you talking about the superdelegate system that some argue kept Bernie from being the candidate in 2016 and that was subsequently eliminated? Yeah they still counted very vote in 2016 and Hillary had more. I didn't like it either, but knew plenty people who were excited about her.

If you're an employee, you should have filled out a W4 when you started your job to indicate your tax withholding. You are able to submit a new W4 at any time

You misunderstand how tax withholding works. When you sign up for tax withholding, the IRS gets a portion of your wage each paycheck and sets it aside for you to cover your tax bill the following year. The IRS is only holding that money for you during that time before your annual bill is due, in what amounts to you loaning the government money interest-free. Many people do not withhold taxes and just pay it all at once. And yes, at this point, whether the IRS will exist as a functioning entity in 2026 is a legitimate question, so not giving them a free loan might be a good idea
