Crack cocaine use is pervasive among the lowest income folks in my area, as are meth and K2. And those people sure as hell aren't doing mushrooms or acid. My point is that cocaine use definitely has a bimodal distribution

Police departments in general have severe problems, but I encounter police often in my work and can honestly say I've never encountered an officer for my city's dept who'd qualify as morbidly obese

The line of arthropods that broke off to become Insecta did so in the Devonian Period, roughly 400 million years ago. Centipedes evolved in the fucking Silurian. Comparing these two groups is kinda like comparing raccoons, possums, and platypuses to fish.

First it gives the percentages from 2011 and 2023 using prices adjusted for 2021, $3/day (27.1% and 5.3% - a decrease of 27%, aka the headline), and then it compares that to the percentages from 2011 and 2023 using prices adjusted for 2017, $2.15/day (16.2% and 2.3% - a decrease of 86%, aka old data cited for comparison and not the headline). Are you accusing them of adjusting for inflation to make the numbers look worse?! Lmao get off it, not everything's a conspiracy

It sounds sensationalist to say "we hit the highest CO2 levels ever recorded" when we break the record every year and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future
