Netanyahu wants conflict with Iran, it distracts from both the genocide he's perpetrating and the spectacular intelligence failure of his administration that allowed the initial Hamas attack in the first place. This is why Netanyahu attacked Iranian ~~military~~ assets first. He deliberately provoked this.
Did he get quick cash? I read he's not allowed to liquidate any of his shares until 6 months have passed, which at this rate is not looking good for him
The laws vary so much by state that any advice given here is not likely to be useful as far as specifics. Here in Texas, either a police officer can evaluate that someone is at risk of harming themselves or others and issue an emergency detention, compelling a psychiatric evaluation, or an outpatient doctor can write a certificate of medical examination and a family/outpatient team can file an order of protective custody directly with the county court, which a judge has to accept and sign. The specific criteria you can use for either of these varies by state, as does the process.
Elsewhere I read you're concerned about your loved one's delusional thinking, which unfortunately is not likely to meet the threshold for involuntary treatment without significant behavioral issues. The best thing for you to do right now is to take care of yourself, recognizing you and your boundaries are the only thing you have control over. Maybe check if you have a local NAMI chapter and see if they have a family support group. I guarantee you there are people there who have been through similar experiences.
Where did it get on the table? I didn't see that
In the US, people working in the auto industry are largely unionized and getting pretty decent pay and benefits too. The US also has pretty strict safety standards that require planning and testing that cost a ton of time and money.
Large scale "online therapy" companies are a pox on the therapy profession. All the therapists who work for them are made contractors, they pay poorly, and the turnover is high, so the quality to the consumer is poor. Between companies like Monument and Better Help and private equity buying therapy practices left and right, access to high quality therapy is harder to get than ever.
People aren't spraying herbicides for mosquitoes though, they're spraying pesticides that also kill bees, grasshoppers, and beetles. I'm not defending herbicide use, but as far as insect populations are concerned, pesticides are a serious direct threat
If you do a cursory search you'll find lots of studies describing the negative impacts of glyphosate to insect health, such as to gut biota and immune function, and straight up increased mortality
It absolutely harms insects in some ways that increase their mortality, but pesticides straight up murder them and are used just as often if not more
Roundup is an herbicide, fyi. But there are plenty insecticides being widely used, even moreso than Roundup in urban and suburban settings. Whenever mosquitoes start to come out, someone near me gets a mosquito yard treatment, and you can instantly see the insect biodiversity in my garden drop.
Item 6 was a $3 million contract with HDR Engineering Inc. for a study to determine where the water utility might locate an additional new pump station and reservoir. Bunch spoke against the item.
He opposed item 23, described as a contract for a land stewardship program with American YouthWorks for up to five years for a total contract amount not to exceed $13,482,000. He also opposed item 43, which set a public hearing to consider an ordinance amending the Land Development Code to “create a new zoning district for a density bonus … and establish boundaries for the new zoning district located in the vicinity commonly known as the South Central Waterfront.”
Bill Bunch has gone off the deep end. It seems like he's just opposed to everything these days, with disregard for whether it'd impact the aquifer or the springs. The SOS Alliance used to do respectable advocacy work, now it's hard to see the daylight between Bill Bunch and a conservative agitator trying to muck up the works with lawsuits.
