Turkey/Erdogan aligns with the West most of the time. He's antagonistic sometimes, and that's what makes headlines so is the image most people have developed of him. He's been staunchly pro-Palestine since he took office in 2003, and has had pretty poor relations with Israel for almost the entire last 20 years, so this is not surprising

As someone who has been following politics since the 90s, do you really believe the Democratic party of today is to the right of the Democratic party of 1996? I just completely disagree with that. The Democratic party today has way more progressive voices than it did back then, and the average politics of the party has obviously moved left over that time.

Your complaint is that it's not as far left as you want it to be, which is a completely different conversation.

And comparing today's Democratic party to the Republican party of the 80s demonstrates a fundamental unawareness of history.

Asked about reports that the FTC was considering recommending Sheffield face criminal charges, FTC spokesperson Douglas Farrar told CNN: “The FTC has a responsibility to refer potentially criminal behavior and takes that obligation very seriously.”

I bet we do see criminal charges coming from this. We're seeing the effects of the Biden Admin's policies changing the direction of lots of executive departments, including the FTC, DOJ, DEA, and EPA, among others

No, but it is completely different from the mischaracterized representation of this bill as broadly covering all speech from the person I originally responded to, which was my entire point

Turkey's pivot away from Israel and towards the Palestinians is due to the conservative and pro-Islamic grassroots of Mr. Erdogan's AKP party

Turkey has a deep-rooted shared history and maintains strong cultural and social connections with the Palestinian people

The Turkish president has built his political platform on the theme of an ascending Turkey — with a historic responsibility to protect the dispossessed Muslim populations in the region, including, of course, the Palestinians

Religion is at the very basis of this, and your buzz-word salad makes no sense

How is this a "Biden"s young voter problem?" This has almost always been the case among young, progressive voters, that they criticize their own party in an effort to change it. You can trace this back many decades now
