Just deflecting over and over, putting up walls and wondering why no one lets you in

Dude, you know nothing about me, and are bringing your preconceived judgments and inferring tones that don't exist. "You're coming from a place of privilege" by doing something free that you can do anywhere and don't need to own or have anything? Something that underpins the spiritual practice of over a billion people across the world of every socioeconomic status? Fuck that.

I recognize you're not in a place to be ready to try because I've been there, and because you've approached this adversarially from the beginning. Hell yes I'm proud of what I've accomplished, and I absolutely want to share that with people who I think would benefit from it. Then here you show up to shit on me, and have the gall to accuse me of being self serving and out of touch?

I would like to reflect back at you that you've responded to everything I've said with negativity and sarcasm.

You're not in a space where you're ready to try, and that's ok. When I started, it was very difficult for me to tolerate trying, but in the end, all I ever did was what I was able to do with where I was at, 30 minutes once per week, and it made a huge difference for me. Let me know if you want any tips on how to approach meditation.

How are you going to stop the Sudanese Civil War with a petition?

I used to get really annoyed by noises that were out of my control, but after years of meditation practice, I learned to accept them (among other things) and am a much happier person. Just remember that these parts of you aren't fixed and can change if you want them to, or sometimes totally unintentionally.

The city owns and operates AE and has a right to its profits, which go toward funding city services. AE's rates are in the lower half of rates statewide, and I think you'll find AE's general fund transfers pale in comparison to the profits taken by the for-profit electric utilities, which goes to lining the pockets of shareholders and executives. I'm very glad I live in AE's service area, their service is way better than the for-profit utilities I used around Houston.

Austin Energy doesn't serve Round Rock...

You must be thinking of another electric utility, my friend.

I don't recommend anyone ever go to "Barking Springs," the free part downstream of Barton Springs Pool. People let their dogs play in the water off-leash, and (this is going to sound really judgmental, but) the crowd is generally trashier. Pay the $5 to go inside Barton Springs Pool.

I hope we can find and arrest these guys, they don't belong free in our city

Some fun free or low-cost SXSW shows!

But now I'm in bed questioning my decision.

so I turned on some lights.

Garden Grove on Garden Grooves

I know this will sound callous of me, but fuck this NIMBY bullshit, and also KVUE for promoting it. This apartment complex is going up a 60 second walk from the Highland Station on the Red Line. Throw a rock and you can hit both Airport Blvd and 2222. This is the geographical center of Austin near some of the busiest intersections in the city. It's not reasonable to expect the vacant lot behind your house will stay that way.

The man said while waiting for his rideshare to arrive, he was flagged down by the suspect. Mistakenly thinking it was his rideshare, he got into the front seat without verifying the vehicle or driver information.

According to the affidavit, the suspect offered the man a drink from an open container, which he accepted. The man said shortly after taking a drink, he blacked out and had no memory of what occurred for several hours.

Yeah please don't do this

Stoked for this

Morning y'all, anyone able to identify this "weed?" It grows very low to the ground and has tiny blue flowers. Seems to be one of the first bloomers of the year

These were sold to me as Senegalia roemeriana, but really don't look like any pictures I'm seeing. Any ideas?
