You think... Democrats are further right now, in 2024... than they were in 2004.

What are these people smoking...the Democratic Party of 2024 is way left of the one from 1992, by any measure, fiscal or social

With what shall they plug it

I think they meant "middle America," Red Lobster wasn't exactly out of reach for lower income folks for most of its life, and shrimp is readily available and cheap AF at thousands of restaurants within 100 miles of any coastline. Red Lobster just let you eat seafood in Nebraska

Speaking of, where can you stream it?! It's like the rights holders want this movie erased from history

I go out to eat often and haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 20 years. When I drive by them they're basically invisible to me

You demanding more evidence right now and saying these students' project "is concerning" is not having a conversation about the validity of their claims, it's just being petulant. Saying, "I'll be interested to see the specs" or "I'll keep an eye out for testing data before I believe this" would convey the same thing without coming off like an asshole

I'm salaried and don't really have a set hours expectation, and I'm working in a public service field, so I'm showing up to help people and support my team rather than generate revenue for shareholders. If I were paid hourly by a for-profit company, yeah I'd be less invested.

You seem really worked up about these undergrads' project

I don't know, it sounds like it slightly redirects only the air at the margins that contacts the blower tube, which reduces turbulence. The noise reduction is due to the decreased turbulence, not a reduction in airflow. If I had to guess, the actual reduction in airflow is probably negligible, and they don't describe it in more detail because they're trying to commercialize it

If I eat a big breakfast and work through lunch, I feel justified in leaving early. Also around my office the standard noon lunchtime does not exist, some people choose to come in early and eat lunch at 1030 or 11, and others are eating lunch closer to 2.

This doesn't at all say they had to do this "or else," it only talks about disruptions, not protests, and no one was compelled to be there. You literally started this thread with an article about some students who protested without causing a disruption, dufus
