I'd like to note in my top level comment I was referring to medically unnecessary vitamin and mineral supplementation. Protein powder is food and is not part of that. It's 100% necessary for serious lifters, but it's definitely also overused by people who are not serious lifters.

If you think you have a deficiency, explain why to a doctor. A blood test to know for sure is simple. A doctor will know what kind of supplementation would best serve you, and there may be an underlying reason that can be treated to fix it.

I didn't say "no one should take supplements ever," I said most people who take supplements are doing so unnecessarily, and you should do so under the supervision of a physician.

Are you finding yourself deficient in vitamin K based on some symptom you're experiencing? Vitamin K is in soybeans, cashews, broccoli, chicken, grapes, blueberries, and a bunch of oils, including soybean, olive, and canola oils, and the list goes on and on. Vitamin K deficiency in adults is extremely rare.

Like every other vitamin and mineral, eating average healthy (and even lots of unhealthy) foods will meet your RDA.

Have you ever seen a sheep be sheared? It's violent and bloody.

What the fuck are you talking about. They use clippers with a guard on them. They don't shave all the way to the skin. Have you ever seen a sheep he sheared? It involves no blood, only someone holding the animal still. It takes like 30 minutes once every six months.

The point is it's immoral to use an animal as an object to benefit humans.

Yeah hard disagree from me bro. Nature disagrees too. Let the wolves have the sheep instead I guess lol

Vitamin and mineral supplements. You only need supplementation if you have a specific deficiency, and deficiencies are not extremely common. Most people who take supplements do not need them and are just peeing out all the extra things they're putting in their bodies while shelling out ridiculous prices to "natural remedy" companies.

If you think you have a deficiency, explain why to a doctor. A blood test to know for sure is simple. A doctor will know what kind of supplementation would best serve you, and there may be an underlying reason that can be treated to fix it. Also eat some god damn vegetables you fat little piggy

Then don't order one? You're not required to order food at places like Alamo Drafthouse. I typically get a basket of french fries and a couple beers. They're pretty strict about disturbances in the audience too.

I went to a Cinemark once not too long ago, on the other hand, and it was a gross mess. The people in the seat next to me dropped something under their seat and pulled out their phone flashlights to look for it. Someone from staff came out with a flashlight too. It took them like 10 minutes to find whatever it is they dropped, they talked the whole time and it was super disruptive.

They still need to be sheared...

I don't quite understand the vitriol around giving these sheep haircuts. This conversation isn't even about eating them. It's about haircuts.

Interviewer: What symptoms did the study participants have? There is a whole range of symptoms that can be attributed to post-Covid or post-vaccine.

Schieffer: The question of symptoms is a very critical one. We selected the patients very carefully. We assigned the symptoms of our many patients to certain clusters using an AI-based mathematical algorithm. Based on this, we selected the patients and assigned them to this therapy.

Schieffer: The group we examined here had developed an infection-related lipid metabolism disorder; this is the largest group of patients.

I have a lot of reasons to be skeptical of this study based on this interview. Either way, cholesterol and blood-pressure lowering meds are cheap, safe, and widely available, literally any doctor can prescribe those for you right now.

Yes, for over 10,000 years. It sounds like you think we should kill all domesticated sheep...

This graph displays cost based on grams of protein per unit weight, not based on weight alone. You're comparing items based on weight alone.

Sheep have been domesticated for over 10,000 years and require regular shearing to continue living, otherwise their wool will overgrow and they eventually won't be able to eat or move.
