In 2016, there were superdelegates who went exclusively for Clinton, but in 2020, the superdelegate system had been changed, and Biden just won. Most of the other candidates pulled out of the race and endorsed him, making his coalition bigger than Bernie's. Some people on this thread would have you believe that's some grand conspiracy rather than just politics. I voted for Bernie twice, and he was done dirty in 2016, but he just lost in 2020.
How about Mark Kelly
Obama and Biden are really close friends. If he's lost Obama's confidence, that's a really big deal that absolutely deserves media coverage. Also, Nancy Pelosi has a ton of clout in the Democratic party, that didn't just disappear when she stepped down from leadership
There's no way they'd put the person who lost to Trump and made him president back on the ballot lmao
She may think she has a shot at it, or "deserves" it, who knows what's going on in her brain. But there's just absolutely no way she'll ever end up on this ballot.
The entirety of western psychiatry and psychology is based on the European version of mental health issues...
At the same time, China is lowering its emissions of GHG.
No they're not, they're increasing both renewable and hydrocarbon-based energy production. The US is actually lowering CO2 emissions, having peaked in 2007 and trending lower every year since. We should celebrate China investing in low or no carbon technologies, but don't give them more credit than is due. There's still a long way to go all around
Yes, you can pull from this bank if you need (or want) to call out sick
No mandate, yes, but a lot of people in the US get decent PTO, while a lot get nothing. It's highly dependent on the organization. I work for a quasi governmental org in Texas and everyone there starts at 27 days of PTO plus 11 paid holidays, scaling up to 35 days of PTO based on longevity. Working at a hospital in the past, also in Texas, everyone got 26 days of PTO and 9 paid holidays. At both orgs, this PTO policy applied to everyone, from techs and janitorial staff making $15/hr to nurses pulling $110K to leadership.
I wish PTO was mandated for everyone at every company, though.
I'd be interested to read that...the characteristics of someone's hallucinations or delusions are 100% culturally bound and linked to their personal experience, but I don't know if it's as cut and dry as kinder and funnier in non-developed countries. I've encountered many folks with schizophrenia in the US who experienced psychosis they did not find in any way distressing, for example, and abuse and trauma also absolutely happen in all countries and will similarly contribute to fearful/frightening psychotic symptoms in all countries.
I just looked at that article and it lists examples from all over the world, including Africa, Asia, and the Middle East...
As an elder Millennial, I was in college when Halo and Counterstrike became things, and they were massively popular.
But sure, growing up I was playing fucking DOS games my cousin handed me on floppy disks, and then later games like King's Quest and Myst. Otherwise I was hanging with friends playing SNES and Genesis.
Also, all those 12 year olds kicking my ass online in Halo 3 in 2007 blatantly prove this person wrong
