Sure, a 20% drop on the same day is significant

Yes, and that's literally all this post is trying to convey. This post is not a news report or a economist's dissertation, this is a screenshot of the pre-bell stock price posted to a gaming community on Lemmy

You can see right there at the top of the graph it's down 20% in the given timeframe. There are ways to make graphs misleading, but there's nothing misleading at all about zooming in on the data in this chart

Investigations by the Boston Globe revealed that as more than a dozen Steward Health Care patients died in recent years after being unable to receive adequate treatment, De la Torre embarked on various jet travels and private yacht excursions across the Caribbean and French Riviera.

The Boston Globe also revealed that De la Torre frequently used the hospital chain’s bank account as his own, including to make purchases to renovate an €8m ($8.9m) apartment in Madrid and to make donations of millions of dollars to his children’s private school.

I wonder why he didn't want to answer questions under oath

the first time in more than 50 years that the chamber has moved to hold someone in criminal contempt

You must be truly heinous to get every single senator to hate you

Piano Phase by Steve Reich

I'm going to reframe this as who I think the best composers are:

Bernard Hermann, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho, etc.

John Williams, E.T., Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc.

Akira Ifukube, most of the Shōwa era Godzilla movies

Shiro Shigasu, Evangelion, Shin Godzilla

As far as new work, I'm partial to Scott Stafford on Ultraman Rising. It came out on Netflix this past June and I was really surprised how good that movie and soundtrack were.

Geopolitics is "The study of the relationship among politics and geography, demography, and economics, especially with respect to the foreign policy of a nation," and in that vein is also a science.

Geography is definitely science.

From Wikipedia:

Geography is the study of the lands, features, inhabitants, and phenomena of Earth. Geography is an all-encompassing discipline that seeks an understanding of Earth and its human and natural complexities—not merely where objects are, but also how they have changed and come to be.

You might have heard of a branch of science called geography

Yes, you might have read my comment above clearly noting exceptions. The bulk of weapons going to Israel are purchased by Israel. Whenever you hear something like "the Biden Admin is sending a $50 billion arms package to Israel," that's Israel buying weapons, because Congress has to approve gifts/aid.

Another thing to consider is that the US typically sells weapons to Israel (with some exceptions), meaning that's mostly not our tax dollars.

The former first lady spoke at two political fundraisers for the Log Cabin Republicans this year

They don't like you, my queer brethren. The party of Lincoln died a long time ago and it's time to quit pretending it still exists.
