In the US you can cash a check at many grocery stores for about $3. Banks have explicit policies in regards to shutting down accounts, have you looked into any of those, or is this all a thought experiment?

I'm sure they'll send you a check for the remainder.

Will they get "pissed off" by this though? Reality has demonstrated time and again that the people actually being wronged don't particularly care about being wronged, as long as it's part of their leader's "strategy."

Is this showing changes in arable land or changes in land dedicated to agriculture? Those are different things

Toilets don't overflow with just one tank-full of water, in my experience. They overflow after the tank empties and the bowl is refilling

Growth doesn't matter as long as people still treat the currency like it has value. Most of that debt is owed the the people of the United States, and as long as the US govt continues to pay interest on T bonds and make Social Security payments people will continue to have confidence in the system.

Take a look at Japan as a more advanced example of this, with a larger debt as a percentage of GDP than the US and still maintainjng a sustainable economy despite population shrinkage

What happens to this company when the venture capital funding dried up? How do they make money?

The Department of Homeless Services says it’s cut ties with three nonprofits cited in the report and were seeking corrective measures from at least two others.

Right there below the headline it mentions how the city has already taken corrective action on this. The headline in particular doesn't play well to a national audience, given that it's an article only about NYC and whose target audience is NYC

Lead exposure doesn't make you weird, it makes you dumber and increases your risk of cardiovascular problems and dementia later in life.

Air lead exposure in the US dropped off a cliff in the late 70s, people born after 1980 had very little lead exposure from the air on a population level
