I decided to go with chezmoi because of its simplicity and multi-machine design from the get-go. It seems the best option for me atm
It seems to fix after some time, and I use Brave so even though I can disable Brave shields, I'd rather not

OK I think I get it now. Is there any way to "unlink" my repo from the original repo while still giving credit so I don't need to create a complete copy and go through all the setup?

Making another repo is not something i feel like doing rn. Id prefer to leave the older themes in there and just not maintain them
