Is it going to be another 8 characters, with no meaningful interactions with each other, for some reason partying up so they can each proceed through their own story while the rest of the characters continue traveling with you despite having nothing to say or do?

Haven't played it yet, but I've heard BattleBit Remastered is pretty good. I think it might even have 128 v 128 as an option.
Graphics and visual style much different though.
