Do you have any evidence for that? I find it hard to believe that there wasn't any CSAM on there considering that there was the whole expose, you know, the one that forced them to delete the majority of their videos, because the site didn't have any way to verify whether they were CSAM or not.

The alt-right is not right about this. The upper class does not want to make you eat bugs, nor does the left.

The fact that it's a binary decision doesn't mean that there's necessarily a default fallback answer. If there's not enough evidence to conclude either opinion, then there's just not enough evidence.

You're free to believe in a lack of free will, of course, but as far as I'm aware, it's not a substantially more well-founded belief than a belief in a lack of free will. I guess I just don't see a reason for having such a militant attitude about it.

I'm pretty the curvature of the universe has actually been measured to be very close to 0, within margin of error, which would suggest an infinite universe. (It doesn't prove it by any means, though. The curvature could just too small to measure.)

However, the observable universe is indeed finite, due to the speed of light being finite.

Is there any way to validate these claims?

I think it could end up being a problem that we face in the future, but probably not an insurmountable one.

For one, I suspect that clean data sources will always be available, though it could become a lot more expensive to obtain. As an extreme example, you could always source your data by recording in-person conversations.

Also, as AI improves, I'm guessing it will be able to handle bad data more gracefully, and that it should be able to train to the same effectiveness while using a smaller dataset.

I still use a dualshock 3, but I can settle for a dualshock 4. They're comfortable to hold, and the bumpers are easy to press, unlike clicky ass xbox bumpers.

For something that isn't being promoted, I sure am hearing about it a lot

I agree on all accounts. I currently have to force myself to use lemmy, through the unfinished apps and the slightly frustrating UX. If it wasn't for my belief in the core idea of the platform, I'd be back on reddit by now. If someone doesn't strongly care about decentralization or whatever, then I don't see why they'd stay here as it currently is.

I don't think a lack of "total control" is the issue that OP is talking about. Regardless of how much control one wants to have over their instance, they still need the ability to effectively moderate illegal content.

I played through the main quest right away

Home - We're Finally Landing You know, the one on every summoningsalt video. When I hear it in a youtube video I have to click off immediately, it's just so overused and annoying. I like the song, but I just can't stand it anymore.
