@Zuberi. Beyond the DDOS attack there other day I've only seen a bit of lag once or twice, no disconnects. Maybe I'm playing at less busy times. I do wish it had an offline mode but so far it's not caused much trouble for me. As for why....I had been talking about it coming up with some friends and my wife asked what I was talking about. A few days later she surprised me with it as a gift.

@LollerCorleone I hope so too. I don't wanna lose the wealth of knowledge and tips but I also don't want to give Reddit themselves the time of day.
@L4s. It's threatening their wallet. Who wants to buy ads if ads are disabled or all the discussion you were targeting is suddenly free for all/john oliver? Who will keep a subscription if their frequented subreddits are effectively useless because of protesting (assuming they aren't supporting the protests, etc).
Side note: I added UserScipt extension on Safari on my Mac and IOS and copied the script in on it's editer and it works there too. iOS does have a slight delay at the moment before it goes landing on what looks like a Reddit error page. I'm thinking it's where it is attempting to hit the script as it first loads to promote their app. Still works so woot!
@LemmyStartNow I loaded violentmonkey edge addon and copy pasted the script in the add (teddit version) and it works. There is a bit a delay as it redirects. But I'll take the delay over using "dead"it. now just to figure how to automate it from ios safari....
@Greenpepper. This is what happens when you cut most of the supporting work force, scrap a chunk of infrastructure, tend to not pay bills, and just toss crap at the wall to see what sticks and hopefully doesn't break things.
@floofloof. That's a hard no. I mean if work wants to do it....ok? But on my own machines....Linux or Mac. I can just picture some jerk DDOSing it.
@Whiskeyomega This strikes me as we are focusing on PC(IE Microsoft Windows) gaming and supporting the XBox. We might come back to making sure it can run on other platforms later....or let Valve do it with their proton hocus pocus. In the meantime you can also experience with Xbox Cloud gaming....blah blah blah.
@vaguerant Yeah if you believe in an afterlife, another plane of existence.....that's when he'd put 2+2=4. Most likely he didn't even have time register it
@Johnpwrinkle Well worth it. It can handle quite a bit locally, and can stream from steam on your main pc (or be set up to several cloud services).
