I don't get it. I feel like if you need a mesh you're better off only getting one of these or a USG, and then normal access points elsewhere.
Welcome to conservative policy. Nuclear is a red herring used by them to divide the left on climate change so they can continue to promote coal, gas, and oil while pretending to be green by claiming nuclear is good.

Sometimes you can do the right thing and have it be beneficial to you as well. Just because something is good for American objectives, doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

For me a real progressive is someone like Biden who just got an agreed 5 day ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, kept other nations from escalating, and has a record of passing progressive legislation, especially as president. Also, for me, a "progressive" is someone like Jill Stein who has lunch with Putin, supports the Ukraine invasion, and only runs to get Republicans elected.
