I guess this is mainly because of mosquito protection? Because it seems ill fitted to lounge in during rainy days.

Hammocks like that do exist, but not with the bottom lounge area.

Admin review of account applications in Lemmy works fine. If you ask people to write a bit, it's quite easy to sort out the bots as there are always give-aways. And if people use LLMs to write the responses, then that's on them 🤷

There is plenty of gas in the north sea. We just need to stop wasting it for things that can be better done with electricity from renewable power sources (and yes I know, current PV panels and batteries largely come from undemocratic China, but that is an entirely self-inflicted problem).

Clearly a labour of love 👍

Maybe support for some music streaming apps (subsonic?) would be cool?

Looks like I have a new favourite example to use in debates with nuclear power shills here on Lemmy 😎

Yeah, those are very convenient and much easier than having to deal with Kubernetes or such.

Hmm, that looks quite nice. Thanks for sharing!

I assume this doesn't federate well to Lemmy?

https://movim.eu/ works well for that and can also be used as a WhatsApp replacement (xmpp based). Obviously also made in the EU.

What a terrible article 🤦

Like there is literally a social network build in Europe with millions of users (Mastodon and friends), and the article doesn't even mention it and rather shills for a marginally more popular (mainly in the US and Brazil) one that is made in the US and isn't very decentralized either.

That is fail on so many levels...

Ejabberd has more enterprise features and scales better for large public servers, Prosody has more interesting community modules and generally is ideal for smaller private servers (but has a very nice invite system).
