A speaker has a mechanical membrane that moves. It will degrade over time. There is also very little space to create the sound by moving air. So any change in speaker characteristics will change the sound. That’s why large speakers are heavy, expensive and last long.

The whole „RAM on a chip“ and everything is as you buy it makes me never buy any of the Mx Mac series ever again. Also, the soldered SSD‘s. I know it’s nearly 2024. but since 2014, when they glued everything in, Apple is no longer a serious option for me. Of course I own an iPhone and a really old iPad. But paying for these Macs is not viable.
