I thought the same when i saw the earbug. It also looked similar, but I didn’t compare it to the movie version.
After unleashing my criminal side in Neon as drug manufacturer, gang member and whatnot, I was able to buy myself a nice Stroud Eklund for 100k.

I just did this, but cut myself some slack to make it easier:
- You can apply for Vanguard and get a nice 5-digit signing bonus
- I treated the Frontier off-limits for any individual trip, but used it in the background as stand-in for a public transport destination to Neon (this must exist in the Settled Systems). If you want to simulate the fare, drop some loot into the sea.
I did some get-by jobs in NA, feigned interest in Vanguard for the signing bonus and now start my career at Ryujin (and might join a gang in parallel).
I‘m a fan of snitching the Mark 1 suit from the Lodge basement. Everything else gets then sold.

It just follows the general ‚suggestion‘ of gravity in Star Wars. It can be switched on or off as needed. Even the smallest vessels do vertical takeoff without any visible thrusters and in space your feet are safely attached to the floor.
After watching and reading The Expanse that has become very apparent.
Was für mich bisher jedes Mal geklappt hat: auf eBay oder Kleinanzeigen die defekten Geräte „für Bastler“ nach Fotos der Unterseite durchsuchen und den Key vom Holosticker abgreifen.
Bis vor kurzem waren Win7 Geräte ok, laut einem andren Kommentar muss es jetzt wohl ein Win10 Gerät sein. Aber auch die gehen kaputt.
