Not stupid at all. I think I read that Disney has something like that for charging communications equipment at the parks. (I could be remembering wrong, I am internet brain-addled.) You know the crazies would hate it, though. Smart money says that there's an entirely port-free iPhone in the next five years.

Mint XFCE! I'm not giving that any context. Swap the BIOS battery, and you're gold!

A good taco. Actually, I think the enchilada guy was right. What he said.

I would like to enjoy your novel in the form of a series of people slowly walking by me, each with a single sentence of your book tattooed on their back. Chapter headings tattooed on the side of a horse, so I can quickly glance down the street and know how soon the chapter will be ending.

Be in Siberia, Alaska, NWT, maybe inside a meat locker. Then head in her direction. Then leave her alone!

I have that brand's liquid Castile soap. Fantastic stuff, one of only two brands that doesn't cause me major skin issues.

This is kind of embarrassing, but I had a bunch of samba issues that went away when I made a "touch heartbeat.txt" on the mount every three minutes in my crontab. It was timing out and not re-establishing the connection reliably, so screw it. Never stops sending a miniscule bit of data every few minutes. Solved. Been running that way for like five years!

I also "fixed" a slow memory leak on a process by restarting the process every night at 1am in my crontab too! I'm the worst kind of admin.

What's the most niche Lemmy community you subscribe to? (Mine is https://lemmy.world/c/compactphones )

So, I don't know why they're pushing the AI stuff on this, but it looks like it's about the size of a foldable phone without actually being a folder, and the huge price tag that comes with it. This is a bit tempting to me. I might order the Bluefox NX1 just because it's so dang cheap, though.

This is the first thing I've seen in forever. It looks kind of crap, to be honest, but at least it's not Unihertz. (Two Unihertz phones, two total lack of WiFi connectivity... Twice very shy.) This may replace my Mode 1 Retro ii.

Movie Trailer.

Anyone seen this film? It hide in the lost boys shadow he is definitely a worth watching so check it out if you haven't. If you have, what did you think?

This makes me so pleased! Go see this movie!

I like it so far, although it does have some quirks. I find that I tend to ignore the bottom half and just hold the top bit like I would hold a normal phone. Not super fast, but it goes easily in my pocket, and now I have the nickname "Flip phone".
