I understand that. I think I just want to get to a point where my expenses are low enough I can work remote part time, live off of my savings, or get some side income from selling my art without it becoming a hustle.

I'd maybe grow just a bit to supplement my groceries. Maybe, chickens (for eggs), lentils, potatoes, and kale or something. Just enough so I'm not completely dependent on inflating necessities.

Even if you get a job outside the US, if you keep citizenship, you will still be charged taxes.

I just got yelled at for being proactive at work and working on stuff in my downtime to complete something before our estimate and improve our product. Apparently that's a big no-no. You're not supposed to ever finish before the estimate you give nor finish past the estimate. You must work the exact amount of time that was estimated. This wasn't even my estimate. I have a much faster estimate and my boss basically doubled it, which I was like fine, sure, but I'm getting blamed for the estimate being so long now.

I'm so done with my job. If the job market weren't a literal dumpster fire right now I'd just leave. I just set my LinkedIn to "Open to Work". Sorry I have a good work ethic. Corporate politics is utter bullshit. I guess the lesson learned is don't ever tell anyone you are being proactive. Finish the work, and then literally do fuck all, and fuck off to wherever while you pretend you are working until the estimate date is reached.

Yikes. I have so many thoughts at this.

  1. How the hell did someone get this footage? This looks like their house.

  2. I feel sorry for that woman but also she made the choice to marry known piece of shit Steven Crowder so this is at least partially due to her poor choices.

  3. As always, I feel an overwhelming urge to punch Steven in the face.

You're assuming anybody outside of Lemmy even knows about this. I haven't seen any indication of that.

Are (insert here) inflating prices?

Answer is always yes.

Get a government job they said. Employment will be stable they said.

Luckily I didn't listen.

Can they just stop making video game movies and have some originality for once? I thought the writer strikes were over. Why is shit still so uninspired?

Also i guess i can't say I'm the "only one" since 90% of people don't do this but you only remember the ones that do I guess.

Agreed on Meta. I quit Facebook years ago and refused to touch anything owned by them.
