I was a kid growing up in 80s Japan & they had this drink called “Calpis” and it was milk and orange soda. And yes, the Japanese pronounced it like “cow piss”. I hated it.

What if the campaign is alliance locked?
Here is something weird in my town. It’s about why I won’t call an ambulance again.
It’s about $800 in my town for a 5 minute slow ride. I’ve only taken it because I don’t want to pass out driving and endanger others. I’ve called an ambulance 2 times in 10 years. I didn’t know what was going on & if it’s serious then I gotta figure out how to get my car back home after I’m released also.
So anyway, twice now, one of the EMT guys was an absolute aggressive asshole. He kept accusing me of lying or making shit up or being high on cocaine the whole ride in. Imagine being constantly verbally berated the entire time you’re in a semi-panic state from out of the blue chest or abdominal pains.
I’m pretty sure it’s the same guy. The only thing I can think of to explain his behavior is that he’s a concealed carry guy & he wants an excuse to shoot someone & so he’s antagonistic as fuck hoping that he can goad the patient into getting physical with him. Then he gets to pull out his gun and shoot you.
So any way. Fuck engandering other people here. I’m driving myself in next time. Actually, it’s only a 20 minute walk so I’ll be doing that instead if I’m up to it.
I want to keep watching the Chinese sci-fi series Three Body but episode 11 has captioning out of sync for several minutes starting in the middle. So I’m stuck waiting for Amazon Prime Video to fix it.
The series is just so damned good. No dystopian bullshit. The nations of the world coming together to solve a problem. The problem is scary as shit. It’s proper sci-fi meaning interesting ideas are explored; it’s not just another nighttime soap opera.
My personal tastes prefer the original series fighter designs but I see the need to visually differentiate the two eras.

My local gas station only had Red Bull with 80 mg caffeine. All the other brands were giant cans with 200 mg. I needed a boost but didn’t want jittery no-sleep levels of caffeine

In 98, I worked at a small company. In 2003, I worked at a big company at a different city a few states away. I happened to be have a good view of people walking by from the parking lot to the front door from my desk. I recognized a coworker from 98 walk by. I ran out to say hi to make sure it was her. It was.
Other than both businesses being in the same broad category of software development, they had no other relation. And this was the one time she was walking by. It’s not like she was working there like I was. And I came by that job from a totally different path that had nothing to do with our old company. And she was not with that old company either and came to be where she was by another unique and totally circuitous route as I had.
I don’t know what the odds were of that chance meeting but it had to be less than 1 in a million. I mean, that one time she walked by I could have been in the bathroom or at lunch even.
Looks like we found the intern who coded the check that rejects “trailingunderscoreisallowedyouasshole_@example.com”.
Follow up by tech support successfully emailing me at that address to tell me to use a different email address.
