I see painted cycle lanes regularly being adopted by drivers as parking free here too ๐ Unfortunately if people think they can get away with parking somewhere, they'll just do it.
Painting the road is not not enough when it comes to proper cycling infrastructure. The lanes need to be properly protected from the where the cars are and parking regulations need to be enforced properly as well. This includes people blocking good portion of a pavement with their car, another thing which is common here too ๐
