It’s sadly not really surprising to me that suicides are high in the foster care system. It’s hard to get good parents into the system when they receive extremely little support from child protective services. It’s also not surprising that child protective services doesn’t offer a lot of support. The foster care system and child protective services system are deliberately left underfunded and typically have their funding cut each year. Which leads to their flaws being made worse each year since they can’t get the funding needed to fix the problems.

As a trans woman fucking help us, this is a situation where you really are with us or against us. If you side with us then you show you give a shit about your own rights too. If you are against us (or are ambivalent about it) then you are casting all of our rights aside because of some culture war bullshit.
