It’s now one of the most anticipated events of “Summertime Chi,” but it started as a small outdoor get-together with a little music, for family and friends.

Terry Hunter and Mike Dunn are two of the “Chosen Few DJs,” known around the world for bringing innovative, feel-good music to millions of house fans.

Coined in 1977 by DJ and producer Wayne Williams, “The Chosen Few Disco Corporation” originally included friends and South Side DJs Jessie Saunders, Alan King and brothers Tony and Andre Hatchett. In fact, it was a Hatchett family Fourth of July picnic behind the Museum of Science and Industry, where the festival first took shape.

Hunter said the whole thing caught everyone by surprise.

can’t say i remember much from using winME. maybe i blocked it out, haha.

new battery issues (midwest.social)
submitted 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) by orionsbelt@midwest.social to c/linux4noobs@programming.dev

installed a new battery in a macbook pro a1502, and the battery will not charge when plugged in using the original charger. tried a different charger, no luck.

did some distro hopping and none of the debian-based distros showed the battery charging. currently using debian 12.

tlp recalibrate gives an “error: battery charge thresholds/discharge/recalibrate not available.”

also, tried to reset the smc following the process for intel macs, to no avail.

any help is much appreciated, thanks!
