True, but we were full time in the office before lockdown and at least half the staff is from before lockdown. Also our job listings are for hybrid positions since there is a rarely enforced office mandate.

True, and I was drawing on anecdotal evidence that I didn't elaborate on in my original comment. While I know there are people who do not do well or enjoy work from home, I have yet to meet those people, all my coworkers and friend group are loving work from home.

So a more accurate statement would have been, based on my personal experience along with with coworkers and my friend circle this study is B.S.

41 year old male, no kids, no wife or girlfriend, been work from home for 5 years now. I've never been happier and more productive.

I get my sense of community from my friends not my coworkers. This study is B.S.

Don't forget Obama sold him the guns and Hillary cleaned them.

Yeah in my teens and early 20's I basically lived on Pepsi, mountain dew, and Gatorade. How I avoided kidney stones I'll never know.

In my 20's I became a self-employed courier with a contract for one long route and then anything I could pick up on the side. After a while I started talking a small Dr pepper and a large bottle of water with me every night. I basically forced myself to drink more water since I was trapped in my car for hours on a tight schedule and the Dr pepper didn't last long.

Now at 41 I mainly drink water and hot tea. I still enjoy a mini can of Dr pepper once in a while but once or twice a week is enough for me.

Yep my work laptop is win11, this happens every time. I just wait till the end of the day, click update and shut down, let the dog out and then give her breakfast (I work nights) then go back and shut down from lock screen.

Meanwhile on my Linux laptop, "downloading critical system files" SUDO shut down, "whatever you say boss" and 10 seconds later it's off.

I admit I don't watch every video, I'm subscribed but I just kind of let videos come to my home feed and watch that way. I mainly use YT as background noise while doing something else.

His reasoning makes sense, so I guess I'll just continue to watch on YT since I have no desire to join FP. Thanks for the info!

While I was medically disqualified from service (back injury) I grew up around the military and most of my friends and family either have served or are still active duty. If there was a military coup I would be cautiously optimistic. I would hope they would take power, calm things down, and then call for new elections.....I would hope they would do that. In reality if they did perform a successful coup, I have a feeling that the power would be addicting and starship troopers would become a documentary.

TL;DR, either way embrace the suck cuz we is fucked.
