Mine was similar except that it was crashing with vulkan errors.
which is odd because the internet claimed it would always run in dx11 on steam.
Anyways i edited a launcher.cfg or launcher.sh file (can't remember which). and i pointed both versions at the same dx11 exe file.
After that it runs fine - i lock the deck aand game at 40 fps,
and i think i limited the CPU to 10W. Settings are mixed medium or high textures, low on the shadows/clours/fog.
i think they do.
lots of the newer "scientific" names for stuff are made up latin sounding words.
if y'all want people to use linux maybe make it palatable instead of maintaining its difficulty so you can get a chubby about how smart you are
I wont speak for others but personally, I'm not really interested in point and clickers using linux - there are people who work on mint and ubuntu and stuff for them.
again, personally, i don't think linux is the right choice for people don't want to learn some of that and who won't ever use Command line interface.
I wouldn't recommend it for them - tbf mostly because I've no interest in being tech support for them, just like i didn't for windows back when i knew how to solve some problems ( type "regedit").
unless they only have a potato, then i think linux is more likely to fit a decent amount of their needs.
though i would normally say it costs them little more than a few hours to test out a live usb boot system.
but the main point is that the linux community is very diverse, as are all the different distros and projects - so it is not easy to pigeonhole all of them as sharing any one sentiment.
some of the people and distros will be supportive of those users, others won't.
it's a bit like most collections of humans in that respect.
There are some apps you can get where it will ask you questions about features where you are, and you upload the answer back to osm.
sorry I cant remember the names of these apps though - everywhere i go (in the uk) the osm content is awesome. better than google for basically all but businesses.
First you draw an "S" . . .
then you draw a more different "s" . . .
yeah, i like the game and even i can see its hyped in articles and on forums.
every time someone article has the word "polished".
it has tonnes of quest bugs, these type of games always do.
the ui is remarkably good - for this type of game, on steamdeck controller; but it's not a slick ui.
there's always tradeoffs and compromises. complexity of quests leads to bugs, complexity of player choices leads to analysis paralysis/tyranny of choice and cumbersome ui.
yeah, nostalgia for me.
the other larian games didn't register with me.
pere ubu - 30 seconds over tokyo.
but i always crank up fistful of love by anthony and the johnsons.
it's the crescendo and brass i think.

I find Peter Laughner a bit like that
