Truly one of the greats. Thank you for years of service, rarbg.

It's a very nifty bot and I think you're doing a service to the Lemmy community by having it here. I just don't get that many opportunities to show off my decidedly middling knowledge of the Japanese language :P
Cool, I'll try it next time. Just a slight nitpick, though. Yamato (やまとor 大和) is not the name of the language, but how the country was called centuries ago. The name of the language would be Nihongo (日本語).
Aw :(

Well. Good thing Mastodon allows for blocking specific instances.
I assume the implication here is that they have belly buttons, because at some point, both Adam and Eve had an umbilical cord attached to them, which in turn would mean that they weren't the first man and woman, but someone else was.
I'm thinking Occam's razor applies here: the artists simply weren't thinking that far ahead when painting those pictures.
Nothing to say about the last two arguments, but this:
- It is technically theft
...is just bullshit. Theft is illegaly taking a property or service from a person with the intent of depriving them of it. When you're pirating, you're essentially making a copy for yourself. In doing so, you're not taking the original book, nor are you depriving the original owner of said book.
"Piracy is theft" is just some heavily regurgitated nonsense from the early 2000s that has been debunked many times over. It needs to die, because it is just objectively not true.
Porn wars? Really?
Another negative point that anon hasn't mentioned: on streaming services, you don't own anything. Want to get an offline copy of your favourite show to watch it whenever? Too bad, bucko. Watch it on our terms or don't watch it at all.
Second panel could also be "Was I a link aggregator?" Because it's hardly that anymore.
