Are there any apps that let you beam files from your phone to your computer or another phone? Idk what this would be called but it would make my life so much easier in c/asklemmy@lemmy.world

pairdrop.net i believe is the url, is a good alternative to localsend if you dont want to have to have all devices having an app, e.g. sending a one off file to a friend

i dont think its that, recently when you get an app anywhere other than the play store, e.g. an APK or Aurora Store, thanks to an "installed by" tag sorta thing (you can see in samsungs app info menus). the Install With Options app on F-Droid lets you bypass this by changing the installer package to

com.android.vending

i just wish aurora store could do that when installing with shizuku

is there any way to set up microg without rooting or unlocking my bootloader? could i do something with shizuku?

my last phone i woulda rooted without a question but i have my reasons to keep this one vanilla (its a samsung)
