They could have named it Window window but that might have been too descriptive

In my experience in the cesspool of the chat lobbies it’s mostly anti-lgbt neo-nazis but they do have decent music.

What does that have to do with their original reasoning? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_secession_movements

Why yellow over red or green?

Louis frequently tells his viewers he doesn’t know why people listen to him yap. I took him at his word. His yaps are 99% nothing and 1% content.

If you think being critical of this dude is me being a bootlicker than you’re a moron.

If it was filled with good bourbon, yes

What book promised magical powers? How have you practiced recently?

I came into it after taking a class on Buddhism then went to a local Zen temple.

Beat to block, report, and call them out or just give up forums. That’s what I do for such people.

Your posts is too vague though. Either you find the medium or host you like or you’re out of luck, unfortunately

I think moderation can work just like cold turkey can work, depends on the level of addiction, addiction, and user.

Exactly my thoughts

  • my methods have been:

  • use trilium for any detailed notes and documentation

  • memos for random thoughts especially if shorter

  • pen and paper when offline or on mobile because mobile trilium and moememos both suck

  • zotero for citation and bibliography manager

  • backed up to nextcloud

  • i have paperless-ngx but found it randomly errors a ton of things and zotero is fine.

  • considering if it’s worth it to have so many different spread out methods

  • theyre fun to use but it creates more chaos then needed

Obviously some of the more terminally online attempts to guilt trip people do not work. I wonder is there even a point to encourage others? Most people won’t change their mind without making their own decision. I think I try to live by example, and being there when people have questions. Being there when people want to slowly eat less meat I think is very helpful. Some online vegans especially on lemmy act like it’s all or nothing, well then these people will never even try eating less animal products.

Thoughts?

I've gone handwritten, obsidian, onenote, and now Trilium. Considering switching to something else because there is no offline mobile support.

I use memos and trilium together but since neither offers mobile offline support considering switching both. No reason to run two services when I could run one.

Considering:

  • Joplin
  • Logseq
  • SiYuan
  • ?

Edit1: some thoughts based on comments. I was diagnosed with low vitamin D a few months ago but took bills. Maybe a month ago I ran out. I thought getting outside more recently was enough. You all inspired me to be more serious about it. Got my vitamin D3 and b12 pills.

Also, I noticed the two days I felt so tired I slept later and had alcohol too late in the night. One drink but around 12am. I think not just sleep quantity but when I sleep and quality matter.

Will aim to take my pills, not drink after 8-9pm if I drink, and sleep before 11pm.

Thanks for all the advice :)

It’s been nice to see ordinary Americans open up to life in China but everyone is acting blind to their censorship. Makes me thankful for the fediverse and being able to self host my own instance.

I say mianjin as I personally find it weird that we use the Japanese term Seitan which came from a 20th century cult when the food originated from China.

Libgen.li worked well.

Edit: someone in the comments says restored. I’m on mobile can’t link them

I backup my files via rsync then have some essentially docker containers backed up and running in case the first one goes down :)

I found some that do the opposite, take digital writing and format into a printed list.
