It looks like surface contamination to me, which can happen when iron or non-stainless steel gets embedded into the surface of the stainless through abrasive action, like scrubbing a stainless sink with steel wool, or as some people have stipulated, iron dust from the rail carriers during transport.

The 1099 is a tax for, but there's usually an extra set of letters after. For example, a 1099-MISC is how you'd declare side income like royalties or prize money. Im assuming this person files some kind of 1099 to show losses.

The interesting part to me is that (afaik) you're allowed to go to the auction and bid on your own car. And technically, if your car sold for more than you owe + repo fees, they have to give that money back to you (incredibly rare).

I'm going to go the other way and recommend The Fifth Season, which is technically a fantasy trilogy but which has won both the Hugo and Nebula awards, because (as if that wasn't a spoiler) it's got a ton of sci Fi in it.

It's basically about people on a planet that keeps dying. They've had to deal with so many apocalyptic events that prepping for the next one defines the entirety of their civilization. If you want a window into the psychology of a society constantly on the verge of destruction, I can't think of a better series.

No, we should never hire people to be cops and then train them. We don't do that with any other people who have command over life and death AND operate autonomously that I can think of except maybe some positions in the military. Even EMT certification is basically "you exist because we need way more EMT's than we could possibly hope to have if being an EMT required a four year degree, and you won't be reasonably expected to do anything other than what we train you to do".

We should require cops to be well trained. Make it a four year degree at a minimum, and let the rage hearted idiots be weeded out in college when they fail all the ethical training courses.
