Ok interesting. I need to read up more on it, I wonder what benefit Meta gets from building on or integrating with AP. Like a short term image / branding thing, or a longer play because there is some fear of what the fediverse could turn into without them.

@D-ISS-O-CIA-TED@kbin.social YES! Giving yourself compassion and having patience with yourself is really hard, I struggle with that too. I’ve heard people say treat yourself like you treat others, cause I am usually way more understanding of others than I am myself. It’s not as easy as simply thinking that and it becomes reality, but it is helpful for me to remember and come back to.

@wrath-sedan@kbin.social ha yeah I noticed that too. I’m out of the loop, is Threads for sure their ActivityPub project, or is that a separate thing?

This wins. I didn’t realize how much I needed googly eyes on digital art, vs just physical things.

@minnieo joining the Left Twix crowd, but they are both really great! I LOVE the gradient outline in these versions compared to the pure black outline in prior.

@rimlogger

Without comments, I feel far less inclined to leave a comment unless there’s a discussion already going on.

I am used to being much more of a lurker, but I find myself jumping in on new posts if I have any thoughts to offer. I figure we can all pitch in a bit to try to stoke conversation.

@UnhappyCamper

@Jcb2016 Good news… at least two kbin apps are in the works. Follow @dansup for their Kbam app, and @hariette for their Artemis app. Artemis sounds like it’ll be heavily Apollo inspired, whereas Kbam is doing something a bit different.

@Lantech

@Ragnell @ExpensiveConstant

Aside from the $300k price tag, sadly….

The car will be a Low Speed Vehicle, meaning it won’t go faster than about 25 miles per hour on a paved surface. If a driver needs a faster route, they will be able to use the vehicle's flight capabilities, according to Alef.

@FrayDabson

@Martineski boost for wefwef, it’s filling the Apollo-sized hole in my heart. For Kbin, following the work of @dansup with great interest… Pixelfed is such a smooth app, I have tempered expectations but high hopes for his Kbam app.

@tryplot oh for real? I had no idea. My brain said “looks like Reddit upvotes, must work the same way”. The up/downvote buttons are placed prominently in a way that suggests they are impactful, whereas boost is just kinda tertiary / seems less important.

@Web_Rand why would you comment on the Reddit app working like usual?
